Bert Tournois

CEO Bert Tournois, chemist (PhD) and biologist (MSc), started his professional career at ATO-DLO, a large contract research organization of Wageningen University. He was one of the driving forces behind the growth of the institute from 100 to 700 professionals. After having held a number of management positions, Bert joined the management of ATO-DLO. He left the organization in 2000 and founded TDI, a private incubator and venture catalyst, an initiator and accelerator of high-tech companies in the food, medical, chemical and biotechnological fields. Bert is best described as ‘poly entrepreneur’ and has set up a large number of companies in the field of disruptive technologies in Food and Life Sciences.
